Chuseok's over and now the reality is sinking in--my diet is completely out of whack. Internally panicking over the mass quantity of chocolate-marshmallow-caramel-laced-chocolate-covered-peanuts-accented ice cream with which I stuffed my face the previous night, I made a brief stop at the Family Mart to buy some veggies. I also had to borrow some salad dressing from Jessa b/c believe it or not, the little grocery store does not carry salad dressing, or at least that I could find.
So, tonight I had myself a salad with lettuce, broccoli, and zucchini.... I thought I was buying cucumbers, actually, but the zucchini was pretty awesome cut up raw on the salad. Also had a bowl of soup.
And I also ate the rest of the ice cream. Had to get rid of it, y'know, removal of temptation and whatnot.
It's nearly 9 pm here in the crazy town of Gyeongsan and I'm ready to take a shower and curl up with the latest volume of Harry Potter. Before I do, however, I figured I better update my blog for my adoring, fawning audience. You know, the fictitious one.
I think the pictures should be interesting to anyone who hasn't been to an Asian country, particularly to an outdoor market. There's copious amounts of seafood.
If it strikes you, feel free to replace "copious amounts of" with "pungent". Either works.
